Tommy is a 3rd year PhD student supervised by John Levine at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. Tommy is a member of the Strathclyde Planning Group (SPG) at Strathclyde, where research interests primarily focus on the expansion of existing automated reasoning and planning technologies to solve complex planning and scheduling problems.

Our previous research interests have focussed on the application of machine learning to solve local tasks in small domains (EvoTanks Project), with the crux of latter research focussed on merging machine learning technologies with planning to generate intelligent agent architectures. An interest in games has provided a great backdrop for this kind of work to begin and possibly flourish in more interesting domains. At present research is focussed on the 'BruceWorld' domain; a simple game environment to test out our current agent architecture. We hope that in time it would be possible to generate intelligent and interesting results from our agent system that can then be utilised in a variety of different applications.
