I am a PhD student at the university of Essex under the supervision of Prof. Simon Lucas. My work is mainly around applying Reinforcement Learning, to be specific Temporal Difference Learning, to Computer Games. Research interests now are the use of different Function Approximators, planning, exploration-exploitation trade-off's, modularity and shaping in the context of RL.

Previously, I did my master thesis on “Arabic Handwritten Words Recognition”, Holistic Approach i.e. without segmentation. My main work there was on features extraction, and Arabic words distinction comparing to other systems applied in the field.
